Shepherd’s Pie
7 Potatoes, peeled and cubed (or 2 pkgs. Instant Potatoes)
1 lb. Ground Beef or Boston Burger
1 c. Water
2 cubes Beef Boullion
1 cube Chicken Boullion
1 ½ c. mixed Frozen Vegetables
Seasonings such as salt & pepper; steak seasoning; onion flakes
- Boil, drain and mash potatoes or follow directions on package of instant potatoes
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- In cast iron skillet (or any skillet) cook meat until browned and drain grease
- Pour water, boullion, seasonings and frozen veggies into skillet.
- Cook until most of the liquid has evaporated
- Cover top of the mixture with the mashed potatoes in the same skillet if you used cast iron (in a casserole dish if you didn’t use a skillet that can go into the oven)
- Bake in preheated oven until top begins to brown
